Home Cinema Room


A cinema with high-quality picture and sound at a reasonable cost that is easy for all the family to operate. The client also requested a surround sound system in the open-plan living area. Security and lighting were also important aspects to consider.


A 55” Smart Wi Fi enabled and 3D Ready Samsung LED TV was installed for everyday viewing. High quality cinema images were achieved by us installing a JVC 4K e-shift projector, plus a Draper tab-tensioned electric projector screen. The JVC projector offers crisp images with excellent contrast. Cinema surround sound via wall-mounted Monitor Audio Apex speakers and a B&W PV1D subwoofer, powered by a Marantz AV Receiver gives the client the detailed but refined sound they were looking for. 

Ease of control was very important to the client and his family, so we supplied and programmed an RTI universal remote control with a combination of colour touchscreen and familiar hard buttons. The remote was programmed for one-touch operation (a number of commands achieved from one press of a programmed button). The addition of a separate RTI processor means quicker responses from the remote control. A Sonos system was installed in a few rooms for a simple cost-effective multi-room music solution, including internet radio.
